EIV 2023 PRIZE

The International Poetry Festival Europa in Versi, in collaboration with La Casa della Poesia di Como launches the 8th edition of the

INTERNATIONAL PRIZE OF POETRY AND FICTION
EUROPE IN VERSE AND PROSE

As usual, the Prize aims to scout new talents or talents who deserve greater visibility on our social channels and on the websites www.europainversi.org and www.lacasadellapoesiadicomo.com

Absolute winners of both published Poetry and published Fiction will receive a prize of 500.00 Euros.

For all sections dedicated to unpublished texts, the winner of each section will have the opportunity to publish it free of charge with I Quaderni del Bardo editions by Stefano Donno.

The Prize falls into 6 sections:

  • Unpublished poetry
  • Published poetry
  • Unpublished dialect poetry
  • Unpublished fiction
  • Published fiction
  • Unpublished young poetry and fiction          

The jury is composed as follows

Roberto Galaverni, literary critic and culture editor with Corriere della Sera
Laura Garavaglia, poet and journalist, director of the International Poetry Festival Europa in versi
Andrea Tavernati, poet, writer and vice-president of La Casa della Poesia di Como
Martina Toppi, journalist and contributor to blogs and literary magazines

The Prize is open to Italian and foreign authors who have turned 18 when enrolling in the competition.

Works must be sent in by 15th March 2022.

Public reading of works
Within the context of the International Festival Europa in versi 2023, all prize-winning authors (absolute winners and finalists of each section) will have the opportunity to read their texts side by side with the international poets taking part in the festival. Poets will read one poem, while writers will read two pages from their work.
